We’re in Mallorca and even though I was, deep down, worried that I wouldn’t enjoy it, we are very much. We are at quite a fancy hotel - The Iberostar Grand Portals Nous - and I’ve just had a massage. Usually I hate spas and massages (the ADHD brain can’t handle 40 minutes of silence on a slab and nothing to look at but a stranger's toes) but this was one of the best I’ve ever had.
Which made me think about some of the other spas I’ve been to around the world during my tenure as a travel writer, that I didn’t hate.
